I'm very pleased to announce the release of my new book series: The Precious Girls Club. The first book - A Little Bit of Faith - is already on shelves. Books two through five will be appearing soon - and I'm already busy working on books 6 thru 8!
This is a wonderful new series that encourages girls ages 6-11 to celebrate who God made them to be and use their special gifts to make a positive difference in the world. These are beautifully illustrated chapter books with color pictures scattered throughout.
The stories follow a girl named Katie Bennett who moves to a new town in Shine, Wisconsin, but Katie doesn't make friends easily and she feels lost and out of place. To make Katie feel better, her father brings home a lovely musical snow globe that has an angel named Faith who dances around her world of snowy white. Then one day, when Katie is feeling particularly down, Faith springs to life to help and encourage her friend. The problem? No one else can see or hear Faith - which leads to all sorts of fun!
Katie's mom and favorite Aunt Ella want to remind her that God made her to be a special young lady with many wonderful gifts to share with others. They make her a pretty charm bracelet with indivudal charms to represent each of Katie's special abilities like being helpful, witty, creative, and kind. Katie is encouraged to put those skills into practice at her new school, and when she does, things start to change!
With the help of her mom and aunt, Katie starts The Precious Girl's Club, a special group of girls who gather to celebrate who they are and then use their talents to help others.
ONE OF THE BEST PARTS of the series is how girls can interact with the series by starting a Precious Girl's Club of their very own! To support this effort, Precious Moments has created a wonderful website experience at: www.PreciousGirlsClub.com where girls can go and play games and do various activities to discover how God made them special. Girls are encouraged to put their gifts to good use in the real world, too. When they do, they can earn virtual charms - or parents can reward their girls with real world charms that can be purchased in stores.
To support moms, another website was created: www.PreciousMoms.com where moms can monitor their daughter's internet activity, encourage their daughters, and send notes of praise when girls have used their gifts to make a positive difference!

The Read and Rhyme Story Book
I'm also thrilled to announce that I have a second terrific book coming out with Tyndale Publishers. We have created The Read and Rhyme Story Bible, a wonderful book for children that I wrote with my good friend and colleage, Crystal Bowman. After writing nearly 40 fun-filled, rhyming stories together, Crystal and I are still friends and hope to do more projects together in the future.
This will be a great book for children who are learning to read or have recently learned to do so in the last couple years. Every word was chosen with early readers in mind to help their reading experience to be a positive one. The stories are completely biblically based, yet so fun to read! Every story is followed by intriquing questions to help children process what they learned. Plus each story has a fun-to-do activity that will help kids think about what they learned while having a good time. Kids will be encouraged to learn new words, develop rhyming patterns and even look up words they don't know or understand in the dictionary at the end of the book! Watch for it during the summer of 2009 at a book store near you!
